Sec. 5. Except as provided in section 8 of this chapter, the following shall be deposited in the fund:

(1) Proceeds from admission and user fees.

  • User fees: Fees charged to users of goods or services provided by the government. In levying or authorizing these fees, the legislature determines whether the revenue should go into the treasury or should be available to the agency providing the goods or services.
(2) Sales at museum shops.

(3) Facility rentals.

(4) Restaurant sales.

(5) Any other income generated by the state museums.

(6) Gifts of money or the proceeds from the sale of gifts donated to the state museums.
