Sec. 19. (a) The following may apply for a permit under this chapter on a form and in the manner prescribed by the appropriate permit authority:

(1) A person that provides wireless communications service.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 8-1-32.3-19

  • permit authority: means a unit, a board, a commission, or any other governing body that makes legislative or administrative decisions concerning the construction, installation, modification, or siting of wireless facilities or wireless support structures. See Indiana Code 8-1-32.3-8
  • wireless communications service: means services, whether mobile or at a fixed location, that are provided using wireless facilities through licensed or unlicensed spectrum. See Indiana Code 8-1-32.3-12.5
  • wireless facility: means the set of equipment and network components that are:

  • wireless support structure: means a freestanding structure that is:

    Indiana Code 8-1-32.3-14

(2) A person that owns or otherwise makes available infrastructure required for wireless communications service.

     (b) An application for a permit must include the following:

(1) The name, business address, and point of contact for the applicant.

(2) The location of the proposed or affected wireless support structure or wireless facility.
