Terms Used In Indiana Code 8-3-18-3

  • Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
  • Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
   Sec. 3. When any passenger commits a crime upon any passenger train, the conductor of the train may arrest the passenger and take him before a court in the county in which the crime is committed, and file an affidavit charging him with the crime.
