Sec. 6. (a) The bureau shall issue a placard to any
corporation, limited liability company,
partnership, unincorporated association, or any legal successor of a corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or unincorporated association, that is authorized by the state or a political subdivision to operate programs, including the provision of transportation, or facilities for individuals with disabilities.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 9-18.5-8-6
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(b) A placard issued under subsection (a) expires on the earlier of the following:
(1) January 1 of the fourth year after the year in which the placard is issued.
(2) The date on which the corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or unincorporated association ceases to operate programs or facilities for individuals with disabilities.
