Sec. 1. The bureau shall issue an identification card in the form of a physical credential to an individual who meets the following conditions:

(1) Makes an application.

Terms Used In Indiana Code 9-24-16-1

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • United States: includes the District of Columbia and the commonwealths, possessions, states in free association with the United States, and the territories. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
(2) Is an Indiana resident.

(3) Has presented valid documentary evidence to the bureau of the individual’s lawful status in the United States, as required by section 3.5 of this chapter.
