- animal facility: means any of the following:

- commercial overnight boarding facility: means a business that houses dogs or cats overnight for a fee that is operating without a private residential dwelling on the premises. See Indiana Code 22-11-22-3
- fire alarm system: means a system that automatically sends notice of an alarm to a local fire or police department when the alarm is activated. See Indiana Code 22-11-22-4
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- pet store: means a retailer that sells dogs or cats. See Indiana Code 22-11-22-5
