Terms Used In Indiana Code > Title 25 > Article 33 - Psychologists
- Agency: means the Indiana professional licensing agency under IC 25-1-5. See Indiana Code 25-33-1-2
- Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
- Approved organization: means any organization or individual approved by the board. See Indiana Code 25-33-1-2
- Board: means the state psychology board. See Indiana Code 25-33-1-2
- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- Continuing education course: means an orderly process of instruction that is designed to directly enhance the practicing psychologist's knowledge and skill in providing relevant psychological services, and that is approved by an approved organization. See Indiana Code 25-33-1-2
- Person: means an individual, firm, partnership, association, or corporation. See Indiana Code 25-33-1-2
- Practice of psychology: includes the following:

- Psychological services: means acts or behaviors coming within the purview of the practice of psychology (as defined in this article). See Indiana Code 25-33-1-2
- Psychologist: means a person who is licensed under this chapter to engage in the practice of psychology. See Indiana Code 25-33-1-2
- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
- Recognized postsecondary educational institution: means any college, university, school, or similar educational establishment approved by the board for the purposes of this article. See Indiana Code 25-33-1-2
