Terms Used In Indiana Code > Title 36 > Article 7 > Chapter 30.3 - Military Impact Zoning District

  • commander: means the commander of an installation or the commander's designee. See Indiana Code 36-7-30.3-2
  • district: means a military impact zoning district established under this chapter. See Indiana Code 36-7-30.3-3
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • installation: means the following military installations:

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
