- Joint session: When both chambers of a legislature adopt a concurrent resolution to meet together.
In the event of a tie vote, the Governor and Lieutenant Governor shall be elected from the candidates having received the tie vote by the affirmative vote in joint session of a majority of the combined membership of both Houses as the first order of business after their organization.
