Terms Used In Iowa Code 124E.22
- Employer: means a person who in this state employs for wages an employee. See Iowa Code 124E.2
- Marijuana: means any derivative of marijuana including but not limited to medical cannabidiol. See Iowa Code 124E.2
- Person: means a natural person. See Iowa Code 154A.1
Nothing in this chapter shall require a government medical assistance program, private health insurer, workers’ compensation carrier, or self-insured employer providing workers’ compensation benefits to reimburse a person for costs associated with the medical use of marijuana.
