Terms Used In Iowa Code 138.14

  • Board: means the board of hearing aid specialists. See Iowa Code 154A.1
  • Camp operator: means the person who has been granted a permit, in accordance with the provisions of this chapter, to operate a migrant labor camp, or portion thereof. See Iowa Code 138.1
  • Communicable disease: means any of those diseases regulated by state or local communicable disease laws, ordinances, or regulations. See Iowa Code 138.1
  • Director: means the director of the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing or the director's designee. See Iowa Code 138.1
 The camp operator shall report immediately to the local board of health the name and address of any individual in the camp known to have or suspected of having a communicable disease. Whenever there shall occur in any camp, or portion thereof, a case of suspected food poisoning or an unusual prevalence of any illness in which fever, diarrhea, sore throat, vomiting, or jaundice is a prominent symptom, the camp operator shall report immediately the existence of the condition to the local board of health and the director.
