Terms Used In Iowa Code 138.2
- Migrant: means any individual who customarily and repeatedly travels from state to state for the purpose of obtaining seasonal employment in agriculture, including the spouse and children of such individuals, whether or not authorized by law to engage in such employment. See Iowa Code 138.1
- Person: means a natural person. See Iowa Code 154A.1
- Person: means an individual, group of individuals, firm, association, partnership, or corporation. See Iowa Code 138.1
No person shall establish, maintain, or operate a migrant labor camp, or portion thereof, directly or indirectly, until the person has obtained a permit to operate such camp from the department and unless the permit is in full force and effect and is posted and remains posted in the camp, or portion thereof, to which it applies at all times during the maintenance and operation of such camp.
