Trauma: means a single or multisystem life-threatening or limb-threatening injury, or an injury requiring immediate medical or surgical intervention or treatment to prevent death or permanent disability. See Iowa Code 147A.21

This subchapter may be cited as the “Iowa Trauma Care System Development Act”.
