Terms Used In Iowa Code 222.66
- Department: means the department of health and human services. See Iowa Code 249L.2
- Department: means the department of health and human services. See Iowa Code 222.2
- Director: means the director of health and human services. See Iowa Code 222.2
- Intellectual disability: means the same as defined in section 4. See Iowa Code 222.2
- person: means individual, corporation, limited liability company, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, or any other legal entity. See Iowa Code 4.1
- Special unit: means a special intellectual disability unit established at a state mental health institute pursuant to sections 222. See Iowa Code 222.2
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
The transfer to a resource center or a special unit or to the place of residency of a person with an intellectual disability who has no residence in this state or whose residency is unknown, shall be made in accordance with such directions as shall be prescribed by the director and when practicable by employees of the state resource center or the special unit. The actual and necessary expenses of such transfers shall be paid by the department on itemized vouchers sworn to by the claimants and approved by the director and the approved amount is appropriated to the department from any funds in the state treasury not otherwise appropriated.
