Terms Used In Iowa Code 307A.3
- Commission: means the natural resource commission of the department. See Iowa Code 321I.1
- Commission: means the state transportation commission of the state department of transportation. See Iowa Code 307A.1
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Department: means the state department of transportation. See Iowa Code 321H.2
- Department: means the state department of transportation. See Iowa Code 307A.1
- Person: includes any individual, firm, corporation, partnership, joint adventure, or association, and the plural as well as the singular number. See Iowa Code 321H.2
A person shall not serve as a member of the commission if the person has an interest in a contract or job of work or material or the profits thereof or service to be performed for the department. Any member of the commission who accepts employment with or acquires any stock, bonds, or other interest in any company or corporation doing business with the department shall be disqualified from remaining a member of the commission.
