Terms Used In Iowa Code 321F.6
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Lease: means a written agreement providing for the leasing of a motor vehicle for a period of more than sixty days. See Iowa Code 321F.1
- Lessee: means any consumer who leases a motor vehicle for one year or more pursuant to a written lease agreement which provides that the lessee is responsible for repairs to the motor vehicle. See Iowa Code 322G.2
- Vehicle: means any vehicle as defined in chapter 321. See Iowa Code 321H.2
The lessee shall carry in the vehicle being leased, evidence of financial responsibility as required by this chapter and a copy of the lease, setting forth the name and address of the lessee, period of the lease, and other information as the director may require. The lease shall be shown to any peace officer upon request.
