Terms Used In Iowa Code 325A.5
- Motor carrier: means a person defined in subsection 9, 10, 11, or 12, but does not include a transportation network company or a transportation network company driver, as defined in section 321N. See Iowa Code 325A.1
- road: include public bridges, and may be held equivalent to the words "county way" "county road" "common road" and "state road". See Iowa Code 4.1
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
All fees received for applications and permits or certificates under this chapter shall be remitted to the treasurer of state and credited to the road use tax fund. All fees collected for the motor carrier safety education seminar shall be considered a repayment receipt as defined in section 8.2, and shall be remitted to the department to be used to pay for the seminars.
