Terms Used In Iowa Code 328.53
- Aircraft: means any contrivance now known, or hereafter invented, used or designed for navigation of or flight in the air, for the purpose of transporting persons or property, or both. See Iowa Code 328.1
- Governmental subdivision: means any county or city of this state, and any other political subdivision, public corporation, authority, or district in this state which is or may be authorized by law to acquire, establish, construct, maintain, improve, and operate landing areas and other air navigation facilities. See Iowa Code 328.1
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
All aircraft owned by the state or a governmental subdivision of the state shall be marked to show ownership in a readily apparent manner. The department may promulgate regulations for marking such aircraft.
