Terms Used In Iowa Code 468.162
- Certificate: means a certificate of title. See Iowa Code 462A.2
- district: means a district defined by a county and one or more cities within the county pursuant to an agreement entered into by the county and cities in accordance with chapter 28E and this part with respect to drainage improvements which the county and cities determine benefit the property located in the cities and the designated unincorporated area of the county. See Iowa Code 468.585
- Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
When such money is deposited with the county treasurer, the treasurer shall by mail notify the purchaser at the tax sale, or the latter’s assignee if of record, and shall pay to the holder of such certificate the sum of money deposited with the treasurer for that purpose on surrender of the certificate with proper assignment thereon to the board of supervisors, or to the trustees of the district, as the case may be, as trustee for the district.
