1. A person, including a governmental entity, whose rights or interests may be affected by the proposed pipeline or hazardous liquid storage facilities may file written objections.
Terms Used In Iowa Code 479B.7
- Board: means the utilities board. See Iowa Code 479B.2
- Hazardous liquid: means crude oil, refined petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gases, anhydrous ammonia, liquid fertilizers, liquefied carbon dioxide, alcohols, and coal slurries. See Iowa Code 479B.2
- Person: means an individual, partnership, firm, corporation, or association. See Iowa Code 462A.2
- Pipeline: means an interstate pipe or pipeline and necessary appurtenances used for the transportation or transmission of hazardous liquids. See Iowa Code 479B.2
2. All objections shall be on file with the board not less than five days before the date of hearing on the application. However, the board may permit the filing of the objections later than five days before the hearing, in which event the applicant must be granted a reasonable time to meet the objections.
