1. The licenses and combination packages of licenses issued pursuant to this chapter shall be issued by the department or the license agents as specified by rules of the commission. A county recorder may issue licenses or combination packages of licenses subject to the rules of the commission.

Terms Used In Iowa Code 483A.10

  • Commission: means the natural resource commission. See Iowa Code 462A.2
  • Commission: means the natural resource commission created under section 455A. See Iowa Code 483A.1A
  • Department: means the department of natural resources. See Iowa Code 462A.2
  • Department: means the department of natural resources created under section 455A. See Iowa Code 483A.1A
  • Donor: The person who makes a gift.
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • License: means a privilege granted by the commission to fish, hunt, fur harvest, pursue, catch, kill, take in any manner, use, have possession of, sell, or transport all or part of a wild animal, bird, game, or fish, including any privilege related to a license granted by issuance of a stamp or a payment of a fee. See Iowa Code 483A.1A
  • License agent: means an individual, business, or governmental agency authorized to sell a license. See Iowa Code 483A.1A
  • Package: means a container which provides a means of marketing, protecting, or handling a product including a unit package, intermediate package, or a shipping container. See Iowa Code 455D.19
  • Person: means an individual, partnership, firm, corporation, or association. See Iowa Code 462A.2
  • Writing fee: means the amount paid by the boat owner to the county recorder for handling the transaction. See Iowa Code 462A.2
 2. The rules shall include the application procedures as necessary. The licenses and combination packages of licenses shall show the total cost of the license or combination package of licenses, including a writing fee to be retained by the license agent and any administrative fees to be forwarded to the department, if applicable. A person authorized to issue a license or combination package of licenses or collect a fee pursuant to this chapter or chapter 484A shall charge the fee specified in this chapter or chapter 484A only plus a writing fee and administrative fee, if applicable.
 3. An application for a hunting, fishing, or fur harvester license shall include a section where an applicant may request that the applicant’s license include a symbol that indicates that the applicant is a donor under the revised uniform anatomical gift Act as provided in chapter 142C.
