Terms Used In Iowa Code 501B.31
- association: means an unincorporated organization consisting of two or more members joined under an agreement that is oral, in a record, or implied from conduct, for one or more common, nonprofit purposes. See Iowa Code 501B.2
- State: means a state of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, United States Virgin Islands, or any territory or insular possession subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. See Iowa Code 501B.2
In applying and construing this chapter, consideration shall be given to the need to promote uniformity of the law with respect to its subject matter among states that enact the revised uniform unincorporated nonprofit association Act as recommended by the national conference of commissioners on uniform state laws.
