Terms Used In Iowa Code 509A.10

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
509A.10 Decisions of governing body final.
The decisions of the governing body upon all matters upon which the said governing body
is empowered to act, under and pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, shall be final and conclusive, in the absence of fraud, and no appeal shall be allowed therefrom nor shall such decisions of the governing body, in the absence of fraud, be reviewed, enjoined or set aside by any court.
