544A.5 Duties.
The architectural examining board shall enforce this chapter, shall adopt rules pursuant
to chapter 17A for the examination of applicants for the license provided by this chapter, and shall, after due public notice, hold meetings each year for the purpose of examining applicants for licensure and the transaction of business pertaining to the affairs of the board. Examinations shall be given as often as deemed necessary, but not less than annually. Action at a meeting shall not be taken without the affirmative votes of a majority of the members of the board. The director of the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing shall hire and provide staff to assist the board with implementing this chapter.
