Terms Used In Iowa Code 602.1212
- clerk: means clerk of the court in which the action or proceeding is brought or is pending; and the words "clerk's office" mean the office of that clerk. See Iowa Code 4.1
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
602.1212 Judges for public utility rate cases.
1. The supreme court shall designate at least one district judge in each judicial district in the state who shall be subject to assignment by the chief justice to preside as necessary in this state in judicial review proceedings referred to in § 476.13, subsection 1. Designations shall be made on the basis of qualifications and experience, and shall be for the purpose of developing a pool of district judges who will have the knowledge and experience needed to expedite judicial review proceedings in those cases.
2. Upon receipt of notice from a district court clerk under § 476.13, subsection 2, the chief justice of the supreme court shall assign one of the district judges selected under subsection 1 to preside at the judicial review proceeding under § 476.13.
