Terms Used In Iowa Code 611.6
- Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit.
- Prosecute: To charge someone with a crime. A prosecutor tries a criminal case on behalf of the government.
611.6 Ordinary proceedings.
In all other cases, unless otherwise provided, the plaintiff must prosecute an action by ordinary proceedings.
