Terms Used In Iowa Code 619.10

  • Allegation: something that someone says happened.
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
619.10 Evidence under denial.
Under a denial of an allegation, no evidence shall be introduced which does not tend to
negative some fact the party making the controverted allegation is bound to prove.
