Terms Used In Iowa Code 633.287
- clerk: means clerk of the court in which the action or proceeding is brought or is pending; and the words "clerk's office" mean the office of that clerk. See Iowa Code 4.1
- person: means individual, corporation, limited liability company, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, or any other legal entity. See Iowa Code 4.1
- Testator: A male person who leaves a will at death.
633.287 Manner of deposit.
Every such will shall be enclosed in a sealed wrapper. The clerk shall indorse thereon the
name of the testator, the name of the depositor, the date of deposit, and, if provided, the name of the person to be notified of the deposit of such will upon the death of the testator. The clerk shall hold such will until disposed of as provided in § 633.288 or 633.289.
