Terms Used In Iowa Code 633A.4108
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- person: means individual, corporation, limited liability company, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, or any other legal entity. See Iowa Code 4.1

- Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.
633A.4108 Delivery of property by former trustee.
Unless a cotrustee remains in office, a former trustee, or if the trustee’s appointment
terminated because of death or disability, the former trustee’s personal representative or guardian or conservator, is responsible for and has the powers necessary to protect the trust property and other powers essential to the trust’s administration until the property is delivered to a successor trustee or a person appointed by the court to receive the property.
