692.12 Data processing.
Nothing in this chapter shall preclude the use of the equipment and hardware of the data
processing service center for the storage and retrieval of criminal history data. Files shall be stored on the computer in such a manner that the files cannot be modified, destroyed, accessed, changed, or overlaid in any fashion by terminals or personnel not belonging to a criminal or juvenile justice agency. That portion of any computer, electronic switch, or manual terminal having access to criminal history data stored in the state computer must be under the management control of a criminal or juvenile justice agency.
