Terms Used In Iowa Code 692.18
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
692.18 Public records.
1. Nothing in this chapter shall prohibit the public from examining and copying the public
records of any public body or agency as authorized by chapter 22.
2. Intelligence data in the possession of a criminal or juvenile justice agency, state or federal regulatory agency, or peace officer, or disseminated by such agency or peace officer, are confidential records under § 22.7, subsection 55.
