Terms Used In Iowa Code 692.21

  • Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
  • clerk: means clerk of the court in which the action or proceeding is brought or is pending; and the words "clerk's office" mean the office of that clerk. See Iowa Code 4.1
  • Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
692.21 Data to agency making arrest or taking juvenile into custody.
The clerk of the district court shall forward conviction and disposition data to the criminal
or juvenile justice agency making the arrest or taking a juvenile into custody within thirty days of final court disposition of the case.
