- person: means individual, corporation, limited liability company, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, or any other legal entity. See Iowa Code 4.1
714B.4 Prize award required.
A sponsor of a prize who represents to a person that the person has been awarded a prize
shall, no later than thirty days after making the representation, provide the person with the prize; with a voucher, certificate, or other document indicating the person’s unconditional right to receive the prize; or with either of the following items as selected by the person:
1. Any other prize listed in the written prize notice that is available and that is of equal or greater value.
2. The retail value of the prize, as stated in the written notice, in the form of cash, a money order, or a certified check.
