Terms Used In Iowa Code 915.2

  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • person: means individual, corporation, limited liability company, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, or any other legal entity. See Iowa Code 4.1
915.2 Immunity.
This chapter does not create a civil cause of action except where expressly stated, and
a person is not liable for damages resulting from an act or omission in regard to any responsibility or authority created by this chapter, and such acts or omissions shall not be used in any proceeding for damages. This section does not apply to acts or omissions which constitute a willful and wanton disregard for the rights or safety of another.
