Terms Used In Iowa Code 99B.58
- Department: means the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing. See Iowa Code 99B.1
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
Fees collected by the department pursuant to sections 99B.53 and 99B.56 shall be deposited in a special fund created in the state treasury. Moneys in the fund are appropriated to the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing and the department of public safety for administration and enforcement of this subchapter, including employment of necessary personnel. The distribution of moneys in the fund to the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing and the department of public safety shall be pursuant to a written policy agreed upon by the departments. Notwithstanding section 12C.7, subsection 2, interest or earnings on moneys deposited in the fund shall be credited to the fund. Notwithstanding section 8.33, moneys remaining in the fund at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund of the state.
