Terms Used In Iowa Code 99G.33
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Department: means the department of revenue. See Iowa Code 99G.3
- Director: means the director of the department of revenue or the director's designee. See Iowa Code 99G.3
- Division: means the Iowa lottery division of the department of revenue. See Iowa Code 99G.3
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
The department of public safety, division of criminal investigation, shall be the primary state agency responsible for investigating criminal violations under this chapter. The director shall contract with the department of public safety for investigative services, including the employment of special agents and support personnel, and procurement of necessary equipment to carry out the responsibilities of the division of criminal investigation under the terms of the contract and this chapter.
