Terms Used In Iowa Code > Chapter 477C - Dual Party Relay Service

  • Board: means the utilities board created in section 474. See Iowa Code 477C.2
  • Council: means the dual party relay council established in section 477C. See Iowa Code 477C.2
  • Department: means the department of natural resources. See Iowa Code 462A.2
  • month: means a calendar month, and the word "year" and the abbreviation "A. See Iowa Code 4.1
  • relay service: means a communication service which provides persons with communication disorders access to the telephone system functionally equivalent to the access available to persons without communication disorders. See Iowa Code 477C.2
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
  • Telecommunications device for the deaf and hard of hearing: means any specialized or supplemental telephone equipment used by persons with communication disorders to provide access to the telephone system. See Iowa Code 477C.2
  • Use: means to operate, navigate, or employ a vessel. See Iowa Code 462A.2
