Subject to the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 12-4209, and amendments thereto, the municipal judge may compel the appearance of an accused person. In addition to the procedures provided in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 12-4305, and amendments thereto, the municipal judge, upon request, may permit appearance, pleas and satisfaction of the judgment and sentence of the court by counsel or by mail.
