Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 12-4807
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Nothing in this act shall prohibit the governing body of any city or county levying a tax, as authorized under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 12-4801, from contracting with any private person, firm, association of persons or corporation within such county or city to provide such services as would make such institution eligible to receive funds under the provisions of this act.
