Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 12-631d
- City: means any city located in the state of Kansas. See Kansas Statutes 12-6,121
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
If such sewer or sewage facilities are acquired by purchase and not by gift or grant, then the cost of such acquisition shall be paid by the issuance of warrants or bonds, but any such warrants or bonds issued for the purpose of acquiring such facilities shall be an obligation and a lien upon such facilities only and shall not be a general obligation of the city issuing the same.
