Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 16-334

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.

(a) Cemetery corporations subject to this act shall file, in the office of the secretary of state, a copy of the agreement or document which establishes the trust between the cemetery corporation and the trustee.

(b) The trust agreement shall acknowledge all contractual agreements and shall be subject to, governed by, and construed according to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 16-320 et seq., and amendments thereto.
