(a) Unless otherwise specifically stated, for the purposes of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 16a-1-101 through 16a-9-102, and amendments thereto, in computing any period of time, calendar days shall be used. The day of the act, event or default from which the designated period of time begins to run shall not be included. Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays are included, unless the last day of the period so computed is a Saturday, Sunday or a legal holiday, in which event the period runs until the end of the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday or a legal holiday. “Legal holiday” includes any day designated as a holiday by the Federal Reserve Bank.
(b) This section shall be part of and supplemental to the uniform consumer credit code.
