Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 17-7934
- Covered entity: means :
(1) A corporation;
(2) a limited partnership;
(3) a limited liability partnership; and
(4) a limited liability company. See Kansas Statutes 17-7902
- Foreign covered entity: means a covered entity whose internal affairs are governed by the laws of a jurisdiction other than this state. See Kansas Statutes 17-7902
- Service of process: The service of writs or summonses to the appropriate party.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
(a) Every foreign covered entity shall have and maintain in this state a registered office and a resident agent in the same manner as prescribed by Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 17-7924 and 17-7925, and amendments thereto.
(b) Any foreign covered entity that has qualified to do business in this state may change its registered office or resident agent in the manner prescribed in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 17-7926, and amendments thereto.
(c) Any resident agent may change the address of the foreign covered entity’s registered office in the manner prescribed by Kan. Stat. Ann. § 17-7927, and amendments thereto.
(d) Any resident agent designated by a foreign covered entity as its resident agent for service of process may resign pursuant to the provisions of Kan. Stat. Ann. §§ 17-7928 or 17-7929, and amendments thereto.
