Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 19-2239
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Person: means any individual, corporation, partnership, association or other entity. See Kansas Statutes 19-2232
(a) A transient business license shall be issued under this act only when all requirements of this act have been met.
(b) A license issued under this act shall:
(1) Not be transferable;
(2) be valid only within the territorial limits of the issuing county;
(3) be valid only for a period of 90 days;
(4) be valid only for the business stated in the application; and
(5) be valid for only one person, unless such person is a member of a partnership or association or an employee of a firm or corporation obtaining such license.
