Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 19-4724
- Continuance: Putting off of a hearing ot trial until a later time.
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
The judge may grant a continuance of the trial or any hearing upon a showing of good cause, except as set out in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 19-4727.
