Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 2-1437
- Prosecute: To charge someone with a crime. A prosecutor tries a criminal case on behalf of the government.
- Secretary: means the secretary of the Kansas department of agriculture or the secretary's authorized representative. See Kansas Statutes 2-1415
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
The agency or agencies designated by the Kansas state university of agriculture and applied science may call upon the secretary of agriculture to investigate or aid in the investigation and prosecution of any violations of this act. The secretary of agriculture may on the secretary’s own initiative investigate and prosecute any violations of the provisions of this act.
