Whenever a court appoints counsel for an indigent defendant or a material witness held in custody or authorizes any expenditure which may be a charge against the state board of indigents’ defense services, the court shall promptly forward to the board a copy of the order making the appointment or authorizing the expenditure, together with any other information and in the form required by rules and regulations of the board.
