Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 31-135

Whenever it is deemed necessary, the state fire marshal may appoint an advisory committee or committees to assist in the formulation and revision of the state fire prevention code and in the establishment of standards for certification of members of fire departments to make arrests, carry firearms and conduct searches and seizures pursuant to Kan. Stat. Ann. § 31-157. Any such advisory committee shall serve without compensation. The membership of the advisory committee or committees shall be selected on the basis of their individual expertise and knowledge in the area of fire prevention under consideration.
