Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 38-2355

  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

In all proceedings on complaints pursuant to the code the state must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the juvenile committed the act or acts charged in the complaint or a lesser included offense as defined in subsection (b) of section Kan. Stat. Ann. § 21-5109, and amendments thereto.
