Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 41-311c

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any limited liability company applying for a retailer’s license under the Kansas liquor control act shall be required to meet the qualifications for licensure of a copartnership under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 41-311, and amendments thereto. Any limited liability company applying for a license other than a retailer’s license shall be required to meet the qualifications for licensure of a corporation under Kan. Stat. Ann. § 41-311 and Kan. Stat. Ann. § 41-311b, and amendments thereto.

(b) Any limited liability company applying for a license under the Kansas liquor control act shall submit a copy of its articles of organization and operating agreement to the director in such form and manner as prescribed by the director.

(c) This section shall be a part of and supplemental to the Kansas liquor control act.
